News Research
The Paper "Equalizing Tax Bases or Tax Revenues under Tax Competition? The Role of Formula Apportionment" written by Caterina Liesegang and Marco Runkel was accepted for publication in Journal of Public Economic Theory.

The members of the department will present their research work at the following peer-reviewed meetings: World Congress of Environmental and Resources Economics - WCERE, Götheburg (Kellner), European Health Economic Association - EUHEA, Maastricht (Kalamov, Lorenz, Siegel), International Institute of Public Finance - IIPF, Tampere (Kellner, Runkel), European Economic Association - EEA, Köln (Runkel), Verein für Socialpolitik - VfS, Freiburg (Kalamov, Runkel)

The Paper "Paternalistic Taxation of Unhealthy Food and the Intensive versus Extensive Margin of Obesity" written by Zarko Y. Kalamov und M. Runkel is published as CESifo Working Paper No. 6911.
The Paper "Tax Competition and Fiscal Equalization under Corporate Income Taxation" written by Caterina Liesegang and Marco Runkel was accepted for publication in International Tax and Public Finance.

The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) approve Marco Runkel funding for the Research project "Integrierte Klima- und Fiskalpolitik" for 3 years.

Microeconomics (AVWL 1) - oral examination
next date: Thursday, 6 September, 2018

In winter semester 2018/19 the chair of Public and Health Economics will offer a bachelor seminar on "Public Economics and Digitization".
Please note that the courses Sportökonomie I, Sportökonomie II and Öffentliche Finanzen II will not be offered until further notice. In summer semester 2018 there will be an exercise and final exam for Sportökonomie I for the last time.
